Green Energy Solutions is an umbrella term for all the energy solutions that provide cleaner energy and do away with all the cons of conventional energy sources. Research into renewable, non-polluting energy solutions is advancing at such a fast pace, it’s hard to keep track of the many types of green energy solutions that are now in development.

Energy is one of the most critical and important factors for growth of any economy. Adequate infrastructure and policies are essential for the growth of energy sector and thus, the economy. India’s power sector is one of the most diversified in the world. India generates its energy from a gamut of sources ranging from conventional sources such as natural gas, hydro, oil, coal, lignite and nuclear power to now viable non-conventional sources such as wind, solar, and agricultural and domestic waste.

Electricity demand in the country has increased rapidly and is expected to rise further in the years to come. In order to meet the increasing demand for electricity in the country, massive addition to the installed generating capacity is required.

Traditional Energy Sources, such as coal and oil are dependent on burning of materials that have been extracted and not recreated. These energy sources not only deplete the environment with all kinds of pollution but are also finite and will be gone in a few decades.

Our dependence on finite resources of fossil fuels fosters insecurity about the future availability and affordability of energy. As a result, the world is swiftly looking towards alternate energy solutions to propel the next phase of growth and industrialization.

All the energy consumers in the country are excited about the latest revolution that the country is experiencing. There is a push towards making electricity available to all the citizens of the country. The country is also growing as one of the fastest and most dynamic growing economies of the world. This, in turn, needs further pumping up energy sources to meet the prospective energy needs of industries and commercial centers.

“Sun is the source of all energy” suddenly came to the fore of peoples’ thoughts. Despite all the buzz around the solar panels, solar panel installation remained a rare story because the economics simply didn’t match up to the hype and buzz vis a vis clean energy.

Then came a technology revolution across the globe that has plummeted prices of solar panels. Suddenly, the economics worked out and came a boom in the business of solar panels.

Solar Photovoltaic Project basically consists of solar modules and inverters as the main components. The solar irradiation falling upon the solar cells ( primarily made of a semiconductor ) results in generation of electricity ( DC Power ). This power is converted to usable AC Power via a solar inverter. The crucial point to remember for the consumers is that the solar power generation cannot replace the power from DisCom (Distribution Company) unless the solar power generation system is designed with batteries. Since, the solution with batteries is still not prevalent in India, most of the solar power generation projects are equipped with grid tied inverters which provide electricity as long as there is a main source like Grid Power or Diesel Generator. Hence, the solar power generation feeds into the consumers’ load and the balance power is taken from the grid or diesel generator.

The solar power generation market is currently segmented into utility scale and rooftop scale solar power projects. The government has set up an ambitious target of 100 GW solar power generation. This is categorized as 60 GW utility solar projects and 40 GW rooftop solar projects. Amplus Energy is one of the leading rooftop solar generators in India that is playing a pivotal role in realization of these targets.
